The two speakers from Swedbank AB, Mattias Persson, Group Chief Economist and Glenn Nielsen, Economist will share their latest analysis and views on global trade, investment, and currency trends, in relation to the current world economic uncertainties. The online part will be held via Teams.

Cancellation Policy
If you cannot attend an event for which you have registered, please cancel your registration no later than three (3) business day prior to the event. If you fail to notify us of your cancellation in a timely fashion, you will be charged for the event costs.

Economist at Swedbank Research
Glenn Nielsen is the Economist at Swedbank Research since June 2021.
Prior to joining Swedbank, he worked as a research assistant at the Research Institute of Industrial Economics in Stockholm. Glenn has a master's degree in economics from Lund University.
Glenn covers both Swedish and international macro. In terms of Swedish macro, he mainly monitor the Riksbank's monetary policy, the National Debt Office's borrowing activities and the development of the interest rate market. In addition, he follows the economies of China and the United States as well as the American central bank, the Federal Reserve.
Mattias
Persson
Group Chief Economist at Swedbank AB
Mattias Persson is Group Chief Economist and Global Head of Research at Swedbank since September 2020.
Prior to joining Swedbank Mattias was Chief Economist and acting head of Debt Management at the Swedish National Debt Office.
Between 2013 and 2016 Mattias was Head of Group Funding at Nordea. Mattias joined Nordea from Sveriges Riksbank where he was Director and Head of the Financial Stability Department between 2007 and 2013.
Mattias has also been a member in a number of IMF Technical Assistance Missions, and he has been a member of the Committee of the Global Financial System and the Committee of Payment and Settlement Systems at the Bank for International Settlements, as well as a member of the Financial Stability Committee at the ECB under which he was the chairman of the Working group on Crisis Management and Resolution.
Mattias holds a PhD in Economics from Lund University, Sweden.

General Manager of Swedbank Shanghai Branch and acting Head of Corporate Banking and, has more than 20 years’ banking experience. He joined Swedbank in 2001. Before leading the Branch, his focus was compliance and risk management.
