The Business Climate Survey for Swedish companies in Mainland China is an annual survey carried out by Team Sweden in China since 2001. The survey is based on responses from almost 100 companies across sectors, and analyses the performance, climate and future outlook for Swedish companies operating in China.

Ambassador Helena Sångeland will be giving welcoming remarks.

The results of the survey will be presented by Daniela Ling-Vannerus Cassmer, General Manager at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China, Joakim Abeleen, Trade Commissioner, and Per Porten, Head of Shanghai office, at Business Sweden.


Some highlights from the report which will be elaborated on during the presentation:

  • Changing international trade policies implications for Swedish firms
  • Opportunities and challenges for Swedish companies in China
  • How Swedish firms perceive the Chinese environment from a sustainable business perspective
  • Which investment plans Swedish firms are having in China, in the light of the current global economic turmoil

Launched for the first time in 2001 by the Chamber of Commerce, the Business Climate Survey has since grown into an integrated Team Sweden initiative, conducted among Swedish company representatives in China. It aims to gauge the business sentiment as well as challenges and opportunities in the market and, as such, plays an important informative role in Team Sweden's work supporting Swedish businesses in China.
