Global resilience meets geopolitical risks – who comes up on top?

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China together with Business Sweden invite you to join us online on 27th March 2026 for a webinar where Business Sweden's Chief Economist Lena Sellgren and Senior Economist Georg Marthin will present Business Sweden's latest Global Economic Outlook, which will be published on 26 March.

The report provides an updated assessment of global and Chinese macroeconomic developments and the outlook for 2026–2027. This edition also introduces a new and more streamlined format, with stronger emphasis on key markets, risks and trends shaping the international economic environment from a Swedish perspective.

The global economy demonstrated notable resilience in 2025, with growth holding up better than expected despite geopolitical tensions and an increasingly complex policy environment. Entering 2026, however, uncertainty has increased again. The recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that invalidated large parts of the tariff framework introduced in 2025 has created a new phase of trade policy uncertainty. Alternative measures are now being pursued, but their temporary nature makes the future policy environment difficult to assess. This adds to an already complex global landscape shaped by geopolitical competition, structural adjustments in major economies and shifting growth dynamics, including in China.

Warm welcome to join us, learn and explore more about this topic.
