SwedCham China is proud to invite you to a first ever company tour in Western China! Our Chengdu visit will span over two days and we will visit Volvo Cars, Pan Pan and the panda with the same name. You can choose to attend both days or one of the days (Please see information below).
Everybody knows that Sichuan and Chengdu is home to the Giant Panda, but did you know that it's also home to Volvo Cars' first ever Brand Experience Center?
Since its opening in 2013, visitors have here been able to experience Volvo's core values and the uniqueness of each car. With a focus on design, safety, environment and connectivity; Volvo manages to stay ahead even long after their 90th birthday.

The center and its neighboring production plant is located in the Chengdu Economic and Technological Development Zone, southeast of the Chengdu city center, on a plot area of 500,000 square meters. The annual production capacity of the plant is 120,000 cars, corresponding to a line speed of 30 cars per hour.
Volvo Cars have a long and rich history of designing and engineering its cars around people, which sets them apart in the auto industry. Join us in Chengdu to discover the evolution of Volvo, and how they will lead the way to a new era of sustainable mobility, connected services and self-driving cars.
Practical information
The Chengdu Tour is arranged as two separate events and you can choose to attend both days or one of the days. This event page is for Day 1 only. To purchase a ticket for Day 2 follow this link.
Please note that trains/flights to Chengdu, accommodation and transportation needs to be arranged by the guests, unless clearly stated otherwise.
More details regarding the factory tour such as recommendations for accommodation, meeting points, addresses, health code details, etc will be sent to attendees in advance of the event.
