Learn how to cook Swedish dishes with SwedCham and Scandic Food!

In this online event, you'll learn how to cook a 3 course Swedish dinner, just in time for Easter. This event is live in English & Chinese, designed for you who wants to eat Swedish food whether you speak English or not!

Chef of the day, Tobias Olsson, will prepare and cook while having guests Per Linden and Ida Sandgärde to host and discuss Swedish culinary culture and tastes.

Recipes will remain secret but we can give you a hint:

• Appetizer from the sea
• Main course from land
• Dessert, round and sweet!

Anyone who participates in our live cooking show will receive all the recipes used, both in English and Chinese, as well as a discount code to purchase used ingredients in the Nordic Shop.

WORDS FROM THE CHEF

With over 20 years in the kitchen I have gathered enough experience to call my cooking my own cuisine. With the base of it from my roots in Sweden where working with the seasons is very important - use the ingredients at the right time when the flavors are fully developed, the textures at it's peak and let the seasons decide what you are going to cook.

To add new layers to my cooking I like to incorporate techniques, ingredients and flavors from all around the world to make it a new world Nordic cuisine. I use flavors from southern Europe, Asia and south America.

When growing up on the countryside in Sweden with a big garden where my father grew all different kinds of vegetables, fruits and berries the seasonal thinking became a natural state of mind. We did a lot of fishing as well and the mushrooms and berries that we didn't grow by ourselves we found in the forest, so three quarters of the year we where self supported with this, which is reflected a lot in my cooking.
