The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to a webinar with SEB and World Bank, for an update on the current economic situation in the world and China.
Welcome to tune in to this economic update; where World Bank and SEB will provide you with an update on the world economic situation focusing on the pandemic and forecast from China and Asia, presenting takeaway's from this year's Two Sessions and guiding you through the outcomes and their significance for foreign businesses in China.
The Two Sessions is the biggest annual political event in Chinese politics and this year it has attracted worldwide press attention, as the world is expecting updates on preferential tax policies, policies to stimulate investment and consumption, COVID-19 measures, climate and environment policies and much more.

Head of Asia Strategy at SEB
Eugenia Victorino joined SEB in August 2018 as the Head of Asia Strategy focusing on macro and FX strategy research in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to SEB Eugenia spent almost 6 years as an Economist at Australia & New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) in Singapore covering ASEAN and South Korea.
She is a frequent speaker at major international media outlets like Bloomberg TV, CNBC, and BBC. She also worked at ING Bank in Amsterdam focusing on country risk in Emerging Markets. Previously, she worked as a university lecturer handling Microeconomic Theory, Mathematics for Economics, and Statistics at Ca'Foscari University of Venice and Ateneo de Manila.

Country Director China, Mongolia & Korea of World Bank
Martin Raiser is the World Bank’s Country Director for China and Mongolia, and Director for Korea since March 1, 2019. Mr. Raiser is leading a team that is managing an evolving partnership with China, a growing program of support to Mongolia, and a deepening knowledge partnership with Korea focused on innovation and technology.
Mr. Raiser holds a doctorate degree in Economics (summa cum laude) from the University of Kiel, Germany, and degrees in Economics and Economic History from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Mr. Raiser worked for the Kiel Institute of World Economics and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where he was Director of Country Strategy and Editor of the Transition Report. Since joining the World Bank in 2003, Mr. Raiser held positions as the Country Manager in Uzbekistan, Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, Country Director for Turkey, and most recently Country Director for Brazil.
Mr. Raiser, a German national, is married and has four children. He has published numerous articles in refereed economic journals and authored several books.
