Amanda works as Regional Manager Government Affairs APAC at Business Sweden, The Swedish trade and invest council. She has been based in Shanghai for 3.5 years, and has lived in three different countries in Asia over the last 11 years working with the public sector in different roles, including at the Embassy of Sweden in Malaysia. Before joining Business Sweden, Amanda was working as a management consultant towards the public sector at PwC Sweden.
Amanda is part of Business Sweden’s Global sustainability team and is one of the key initiators to the platform Pioneer the possible here in China, a collaborative initiative where Team Sweden works together with Swedish companies to reach their carbon neutrality goals and to position their sustainable solutions in the Chinese market.
Business Sweden is the Swedish trade and invest council, with a unique mandate to help Swedish companies grow global sales and international companies invest and expand in Sweden. Business Sweden is jointly owned by the Swedish state and the Swedish business sector.

Malin is the GM of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China with offices across n Beijing and Shanghai.
She relocated to Shanghai in 2023, bringing with her a distinguished career in global management and strategy. Before moving to China, Malin was based in Sweden, where she gained extensive experience in consultancy and served as the manager of the International Trade Department at the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.
Malin has spent many years living and working abroad, including assignments with Ericsson in Japan, Italy and the UK, where she specialized in business development, sales, and change management. Additionally, she worked with the Swedish Trade and Investment Council in Dubai, supporting Swedish companies in establishing and expanding their presence in the Middle East.
Her primary focus is to strengthen the relationship between the Chinese and Swedish communities, broaden collaboration opportunities, and maximize value for members and partners. She is committed to enhancing the return on investment (ROI) for all events and activities, ensuring they deliver meaningful impact and foster stronger connections.
Elisabet
Söderström
Secretary General at Sweden-China Trade Council
Elisabet Söderström is Secretary General of Sweden-China Trade Council since 2004. Before joining SCTC, she held the position of Office Manager for the Swedish Trade Council’s (today Business Sweden) office in Hong Kong. Elisabet Söderström has spent altogether 11 years in Hong Kong, working also for the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. She started her career as a journalist with the local daily Sundsvalls Tidning and later joined Expressen before moving to Indonesia in the mid-80’s. Elisabet has studied social science at the Stockholm University.
Elisabet Söderström is a Member of Team Sweden Kina of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs and was member of the National Committee for the Swedish Participation in Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
