--Releasing pressures endured by women themselves

With the #MeToo movement we saw a new generation of Chinese speaking up on inequality. In a society highly dominated by men, how do you educate, train, and raise awareness about inequality, and most importantly, encourage Chinese women to be empowered to raise their status in society?

Rui will share her experiences on how to use photography as contemporary art to illustrate what are women facing in modern society. She will introduce some photography works created by international female

artists as well as her own works related with such contents.

About the Speaker 🗣



Rui Yuan is a slashie who has more than 10 years of work experience in real estate company as well is a photographer whose works focus on urban landscape and identities, especially gender issues in megacities. She is also a candidate of MA Photography and Urban Cultures in Goldsmiths, University of London.
