Have you ever tried the most classic Chinese game Mahjong(麻将)? Mahjong is the most welcome game when Chinese families, friends and even business partners get together. It is a wonderful way to connect with others and it is all about negotiation, communication and cooperation.
The Swedish chamber of commerce in China invites our members to join us for a Mahjong after-work event on 13 March 2026 evening in Shanghai, where we've invited mahjong masters to teach us all we need to know about this mysterious game and the history and Chinese culture behind Mahjong.

About Mahjong:
Mahjong, a game of four-player dominoes, is popular in Chinese cultural circles. It originated in China, and is commonly known as mahjong in Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and southern Fujian and Fuzhou regions. Mah-jongg is a game invented in ancient China, tile recreational equipment, made of bamboo, bone or plastic small rectangular blocks, engraved with patterns or characters, each deck of 136 (some regions 74) Southern Mah-jongg more than eight flower tiles, respectively, spring, summer, autumn and winter, plum, bamboo, orchids, a total of 144. The rules of the game vary slightly from region to region. In April 2017, the International Federation of Intellectual Sports announced that Mahjong has officially become a world intellectual sport

Cancellation Policy
If you cannot attend an event for which you have registered, please cancel your registration no later than three business day prior to the event. If you fail to notify us of your cancellation in a timely fashion, you will be charged for the event costs.
Fapiao (VAT Invoice)
Apply fapiao when purchasing a ticket, by inputting the Chinese entity name and tax ID (if the title is wrong, you will be unable to receive the Fapaio). Make sure your IT has whitelisted the domain "XX@hlzrkj.xyz. E-Fapiao will be sent to your e-mail within 7 days after completed event (check spam folder). If the fapiao can not be received, please provide an alternative email or contact finance@swedcham.cn
