Western leadership requires profound cultural awareness in order to succeed in managing Chinese organisations. One of the greatest barriers for continuous business success of foreign business in China is the management of cultural differences. A major contributor to diverting performance is Shadow Management, based on favouritism and hidden agendas. An often overlooked and serious two edge sword is the Chinese phenomenon guanxi.

Søren B. Jensen and Poul G. Kristensen will share their personal stories and experiences through actual cases and discuss how the phenomenon affects foreign companies in China. We will highlight the substantial impact and influence from Shadow Management and give suggestions on how companies can improve their business performance significantly by actively working with this.

This event will be held together with the other Nordic Chambers.
