On 19th January 2024, Main organized by The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China and co-organized by The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, together we are proudly presents a pivotal hybrid (online & offline in Shanghai) seminar focused on the latest developments in global logistics for the year 2024. In an era defined by rapid changes and challenges, our aim is to illuminate these shifts for our valued members in China and beyond.
Recent events have underscored the intricate nature of international trade. Notably, Yemeni rebel attacks in the Red Sea strait—a critical artery facilitating 40% of the world's international trade—have prompted seismic shifts in shipping dynamics. As a consequence, major shipping conglomerates are re-routing around Africa's southern tip, bypassing the Suez Canal. This alteration, albeit strategic, will elongate transit times between Europe and Asia by two weeks. Such changes inevitably translate to reduced capacity, complicating turnover rates and necessitating innovative solutions.
To navigate these complexities as well as exploring the growing importance of sustainable practices in logistics & reduce carbon footprint amidst evolving challenges, our panel discussion promises a diverse array of perspectives, featuring luminaries from various logistics sectors such as from customer side, Ocean Carrier, Airline, Port Authority as well as Freight Forwarder (APC).

Mrs Axtelius has more than 20 years’ experience from different management positions within the aviation industry.
Elizabeth Axtelius joined Swedavia in 2010, from SAS, Scandinavian Airlines System. Elizabeth has held several management positions within SAS, finance, marketing and sales, Network and Cargo. Elizabeth has also served as a CFO for the LCC startup snowflake.
During Elizabeth Axtelius time at Swedavia her main focus has been to develop the business to create growth, profitability and better connectivity.
Elizabeth has a BS in Economics, University of Stockholm, combined with studies in political science and statistics.

Jenny Cheng

Jenny joined APC Logistics Sweden in 2014, working at the Gothenburg office for several years before re-locating to APC China in August 2022 to further work on contributing and developing the trade between Northern Europe and Greater China.
She holds a MS in International Business and Trade as well as a BBA with specialization in Logistics and Transport Management from University of Gothenburg.

Managing Director Sweden of Apc Logistics
Tomas has been the MD of APC Logistics Sweden since 2016 and is normally based in the Gothenburg office, Sweden.
He has over 17 years of experience working in different managerial roles within the logistics and supply chain industry.
Prior to joining APC, Tomas was based in both Singapore and in Hong Kong working for DHL and Panalpina.
