China's two sessions will have been concluded in early March 2023 in Beijing, and the GDP growth projections for China have already been adjusted upwards by many analysts as a consequence of the removal of the Covid restrictions.
So what are the political consequences going forward? How will that influence the economy and the business environment? The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to once again invite: Peter Ling-Vannerus, Chief Representative, SEB Beijing and Eugenia Victorino, SEB Chief Asia Economist who will present their views upon these questions. 26 years of experience at SEB within corporate banking, trade and export finance and correspondent banking. General Manager of SEB Shanghai Branch since 1st of September 2022. Previously Head of Emerging Market Banks and Country management at SEB, Head of Corporate Banking at SEB Shanghai, Area Manager for Northeast Asia and client executive at SEB Hong Kong Branch. I have also been Board member of the Banker Association for Finance and Trade and the International Council of Swedish Industry.

Chief Representative at Seb
Peter Ling-Vannerus is Chief Representative at SEB, Beijing.
He is also a member of the Board of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China and of the Executive Committee of the European Chamber of Commerce in China.
Previously, he was the Global Head of Subsidiary Financing at SEB Head Office, responsible for the development and execution of cost and risk efficient financing solutions for subsidiaries in international markets. He has also been Head of SEB Paris Branch: Managing SEB’s activities in France, including Commercial Banking, Equity Analysis and Trading. Mr. Peter Ling-Vannerus used to be Chief Representative in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Managing and developing SEB’s business with Corporate Customers and Correspondent Banks in the Southern Cone markets.
He holds a degree from Georgetown University, Washington DC in International Relations and Finance and from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.

Victorino
Head of Asia Strategy at SEB
Eugenia Victorino joined SEB in August 2018 as the Head of Asia Strategy focusing on macro and FX strategy research on China and the rest of Asia Pacific region. Prior to SEB, Eugenia spent almost 6 years as an Economist at Australia & New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ Bank) in Singapore covering ASEAN and South Korea. She is a frequent speaker at major international media outlets like Bloomberg TV, CNBC, and BBC. She has also worked at ING Bank in Amsterdam focusing on country risk in Emerging Markets. Previously, she worked as a university lecturer handling Microeconomic Theory, Mathematics for Economics, and Statistics for Economics at Ca' Foscari University of Venice and Ateneo de Manila.
