More than a year has now passed since the first tariffs were introduced as part of the ongoing trade conflict between China and US.
The resumption of the trade conflict with the US increases the risk of a double dip in China's growth. With a speedy resolution becoming more unlikely, the prospect of having the full monty of 25% tariffs on all Chinese exports to the US is looking more likely than other scenarios. What can you expect from the Tech War?
As a Swedish company in China it is important to understand both short and long term impact on supply chain, competition and customer base. Many companies fall into the "wait and see" trap, with uncertainties delaying decisions and accelerating slowdown. In this Executive Dialogue, we will discuss the impact seen so far, and how to plan for potential scenarios moving forward.

Head of Asia Strategy at SebEugenia Victorino joined SEB in August 2018 as the Head of Asia Strategy focussing on macro research in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to SEB, Eugenia spent almost 6 years as an Economist at Australia & New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ Bank) in Singapore covering ASEAN and South Korea. She is a frequent speaker at major international media outlets like Bloomberg TV and BBC. She has also worked at ING Bank in Amsterdam focussing on country risk in Emerging Markets. Previously, she worked as a university lecturer handling Microeconomic Theory, Mathematics for Economics, and Statistics for Economics at Ca' Foscari University of Venice and Ateneo de Manila. Eugenia holds double bachelor degrees in Mathematics and Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy), during which she spent some years as a graduate exchange student at the Universiteit van Amsterdam (the Netherlands).
