Dispelling Some Modern Myths About the Chinese Market

We often hear the same drivers when it comes to Chinese consumers: a need for safety; market adaptation to local tastes; health and wellness. But, many of these are much more nuanced than in the past.

SwedCham is glad to invite Shanghai-based brand consultancy, The Silk Initiative, to introduce some of the uniquely pesky misconceptions about the Chinese market which they have been able to identify using a year's worth of proprietary data.

These surprising findings cover everything from what drives consumer purchases to the need for quality and safety, international influences to technology.

In this one-hour presentation, the TSI team will demonstrate just how much the Chinese market has evolved and why old approaches are now obsolete. If you still think slapping some Mandarin on a pack is going to sell, then this talk is for you!
