On May 16, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China invites our members and friends to a full-day training in Shanghai on "Cross-cultural communication skills for effective headquarter cooperation" and this training will be conducted in Chinese language.

对于在北欧企业工作的中国员工而言,与总部同事的跨文化沟通往往面临独特挑战。本课程将首先帮助学员从心理学角度理解沟通的基本模型,然后重点探讨与北欧总部代表沟通时的具体应用,并提供切实可行的合作改善策略。
Course introduction
Understanding, being able to navigate and ultimately excel in interpersonal communication is one of the most important factors for personal and business success in today´s world. This is already true within a mono-cultural company environment, but becomes even more relevant when applied to cross-cultural business interactions. An improved understanding of cultural differences and specific skills for facilitating helpful interactions with colleagues or partners from a different cultural background can help to avoid unnecessary friction and make a significant difference in business success.
For Chinese employees working in northern European companies in China, interaction with colleagues at the company headquarters is often a challenging application area of this kind of cross-cultural interactions, so after introducing a model for an increased understanding of psychological influences on interpersonal communication, the course will focus on specific applications in cross-cultural communication with northern European headquarter representatives and provide specific strategies for improved cooperation.
The training uses a highly interactive approach, with a focus on supporting participants to actively apply the presented content to their personal work situations and provides a platform for targeted reflection, hand-on-practice and personalized feedback.
