On 25 Nov. 2026, the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China and our member company: PSU are pleased to invite you to a timely seminar on one of the most complex compliance challenges facing European companies doing business in, purchasing from, or maintaining supply chains connected to China.

China's new regulation on industrial and supply chain security, together with its framework countering the extraterritorial reach of foreign laws, adds a new dimension to global compliance. At the same time, European companies face expanding obligations on forced labour transparency, human rights, environmental impact, sanctions, supply chain traceability, and responsible sourcing.

This raises a critical question:

What happens when a compliance measure required or expected under European legislation entails a potential legal risk when implemented in China?

The seminar will address the practical implications, including:

  • Conflicts between EU due diligence obligations and Chinese legislation
  • Supplier investigations, ESG assessments
  • Challenges for Chinese subsidiaries and local management
  • Supplier termination driven by European legal requirements
  • Cross-border transfer of supplier, personnel, and supply chain information
  • Risks to employees and management in China—and how to manage them
  • What recent Chinese measures on foreign investigations indicate about enforcement
  • Practical, China-adapted compliance and escalation processes

The discussion will also examine a key strategic question:

How can a company simultaneously comply with the laws governing its global operations and the laws governing its operations and supply chain in China?

Join us for a practical and forward-looking discussion on the intersection of European legislation and China's evolving supply chain security framework.
