Swedes have been celebrating the start of crayfish seasons since the late 1800s, however once upon a time it was only enjoyed by royals. These days everyone eats crayfish, and special crayfish parties are held in the evenings in early August once the crayfish fishing season is under way in Sweden. SwedCham China's Krรคftskiva has become an annual tradition in both Shanghai and Beijing for many years in China.
The 2023 Swedish Crayfish Party Beijing will be held on September 8th on a spectacular Rooftop of The PuXuan Hotel (็็้ ๅบ) . It nestled amidst one of the world's most significant historical areas โ Beijing's Forbidden City and WangFuJing. The PuXuan Hotel and Spa is uniquely poised as a new, modernist state-of-the-art masterpiece. The neighbourhood's ancestral heritage has been cleverly enriched by a gem of modernity, paying respectful yet contemporary homage to one of the capital's most important and distinct quarters.
Highlights of the evening will include the Swedish style crayfish and traditional Swedish buffet, free Flow of beverages and Swedish snaps, the traditional singing, customary crayfish party accessories, together with the dance music by DJ RicKeen.
