In 2024's highly competitive workplace, professional skills alone aren't cutting it for engineers. While their strength lies in deep product and tech knowledge, many engineers and technical staff struggle to communicate their ideas confidently and clearly, which hinders their career growth.


This course is designed for engineers and tech professionals to boost their job competitiveness. It aims to build a solid communication foundation, tackle common engineering communication challenges, and drive workplace success. It's not about theory; it's hands-on, real-world tools and practice to make a real improvement.

· Technical communication with non-technical personnel

o Master expression techniques: Pyramid principle and MECE principles

o Use aids: diagrams, examples, tangible objects, etc

o Attract your audience: story-telling technique

o Exercise 1: technical communication with non-technical personnel

· Communication with people in power

o Breaking the"inner demons" of upward communication: inferiority and narcissism

o General guidelines for upward communication

o Public reporting: the "VIBE" technique

o Asking for resources: negotiation skills at work
