How can executives and managers of Swedish subsidiaries in China adopt some of the cornerstones of Swedish managerial best practices? How can you develop your abilities to better manage problem ownership, your ability to find new creative solutions and drive change to implement them?
This modular online training programme offered in collaboration between theUniversity of Gothenburg, a leading Swedish university, and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China aims at rapidly providing executives and managers with new insights and new tools within three well-defined domains:

Module 3 : Leadership for sustainable strategy and supply chains by Professor Niklas Egels Zandén, PhD - June 16, 2022
The programme comprises three separate two-hour synchronous online modules, one for each of the domains above. Each module will be delivered by a leading researcher and lecturer from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. For each module, there will be pre-study materials (articles, video clips) to be read and viewed in the week leading up to the module. After finishing all the three modules, attendants will receive a CERTIFICATE LETTER issued by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China and the University of Gothenburg.

About the Professors and three Modules
Professor Niklas Egels Zandén, PhD: Leadership for sustainable strategy and supply chains
Managers and scholars agree that integrating sustainability into the business strategy of the firm is central in solving global social and environmental challenges. However, does integrating sustainability make sense from a corporate perspective? During this module, we will discuss the notion of sustainability in relation to business reality. We will illustrate with corporate examples and leading international research how firms can work to integrate sustainability into strategy and supply chains.
Professor Niklas Egels Zandén is Head of the Management & Organisation section and Director of Centre for Business in Society at the School of Business, Economics and Law at University of Gothenburg. His research is on the integration of sustainability into business strategy and supply chains. He has published 25+ academic articles on these topics in international journals and regularly leads executive education sessions for managers on these topics.
Senior Lecturer Leif Denti, PhD: Creativity & innovation management
This module will explore the roots of creative thinking and how creativity can be managed in organizations in order to increase individuals' and teams' solution quality and problem solving abilities. The building blocks of creativity, as well as the individual, team and organizational processes involved will be investigated.
Leif Denti, PhD, is Senior Lecturer at the Department of Psychology at the University of Gothenburg. His field is the psychology of innovation, and he has since 2009 devoted his research to examining organizational conditions and the role of leadership in enhancing creativity and innovation. He is one of Sweden's most sought after lecturers on creativity and innovation and as an expert advisor involved in innovation capability project both in the public and private sectors.
Assistant Professor Jonas Fasth, PhD: Change management
This module addresses the most challenging issues of change management; what balance between control and learning is desirable, and how can leaders act depending on the choice of that balance? Based on research on change management and the my own extensive experiences of change management, different perspectives and models on change are presented and compared. Common challenges in the Swedish context are described and concrete advice is given on how a change process can be prepared and managed.
Jonas Fasth, PhD, works as a researcher and teacher in business administration at the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg and as a consultant with a focus on growth and strategic processes in companies. He also has experience from working with management teams and boards of directors to develop their working methods and competences in strategy and change management. With experience from both business and academia, he possesses a competence that is both theoretical and hands-on, and he is able to explain complicated theories and research in a concrete way that is easy to understand.
