In August this year, SwedCham and Mercuri Urval held a workshop for employees of Nordic companies in China, focusing on further developing and progressing their careers in cross-cultural business environments. Through this first workshop, participants gained a better understanding of Nordic culture and the behaviours their Nordic leadership and HQ expect and appreciate in a manager.
In the upcoming second workshop, Mercuri Urval China will continue the training in cross-cultural leadership and introduce coaching as a leadership tool: two coaches will facilitate and demonstrate how you apply coaching as a manager to succeed in leading effectively. Coaching has been well applied as an effective leadership skill in Nordic companies, and in this workshop Mercuri Urval will also share potential pitfalls for leaders who are using coaching in a global perspective.
Coaching is a cornerstone of Mercuri Urval Talent Solutions and they have a strong tradition of using coaching when working with development of individuals, teams and organisations. Coaching is a structured process used to coach individuals or entire management teams. When coaching, the knowledge of coaching is also passed on as a leadership tool.
Trust, courage and willingness to listen are essential skills a leader has to master for her or him to succeed. Coaching skill is a crucial part of that. During the upcoming workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn and practice fundamental coaching skills.
