The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China warm welcome you and your colleagues to join our upcoming one-day workshop in Shanghai on Tuesday, 19 May 2026 about "Cross-functional collaboration" and this workshop will be conducted in English.

Overview:

Cross-functional collaboration focuses on enabling teams to work effectively across functions to achieve shared outcomes. It develops alignment on common goals, clarifies roles and expectations, and builds trust across stakeholders. The approach emphasises clear communication and active listening, while navigating differing priorities and reducing siloed thinking. Supported by frameworks such as the SCARF Model to understand and manage human dynamics, and the RACI Matrix to provide clarity on roles and responsibilities, it strengthens decision-making, efficiency, and overall impact.

Lectures, Case Studies, Group Discussions, and Exercises

Agenda:

SCARF Model – the behavioural lens

• dentify where collaboration breakdowns are driven by human factors (e.g., threats to status, lack of certainty, reduced autonomy)
• Guide more effective conversations by focusing on trust, fairness, and psychological safety across teams
• Diagnose and reframe real cross-functional challenges using a simple, shared language

RACI Matrix – the practical structure

• Clarify roles and decision ownership across functions to remove ambiguity
• Align stakeholders on who is responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed
• Streamline decision-making and reduce duplication or conflict
