Qīngdǎo (青岛) is an international coastal city in the southeast of Shandong Peninsula. It is the economic center of Shandong and an international shipping hub of Northeast Asia. Qīngdǎo – the name means 'Green Island' – is a rare modern city that has managed to preserve some of its past while angling a dazzling modern face to the future.
Last August, the SwedCham China organized a popular full-day factory tour to Qingdao. On 22 November, we will visit Qingdao again and welcome to join us for an inspiring tour to the two sites of the Swedish companies located in Qingdao: Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. 海克斯康制造智能技术(青岛)有限公司 and White Peak Nandao Project 中瑞鼎峰"青岛云上观澜"项目.
During the tour in the morning session, all participants will gather at the West gate of Hexagon Smart Industrial Park. The visiting group will be welcomed by Hexagon management team followed by visiting workshops and exhibition halls and free mingle session. You will hear how Hexagon creating an intelligent manufacturing ecosystem and empowering digital transformation. Lunch will be arranged at Hexagon Canteen after the morning tour.
In the afternoon session, we will take the bus shuttle and transfer to White Peak Nandao Project where White peak started bringing the Hammarby model to Qingdao City and jointly develop Nandao project together with Qingdao Metro Real Estate Limited. The tour group will hear the behind stories of how to build this Sustainable Community with joint efforts with their partners and stake holders, and how to put Low Carbon Strategy into their projects.

2022年4月,中国-瑞典哈马碧生态城联盟于北京正式发布白皮书《迈向碳中和:在可持续城市发展方面,瑞典如何支持中国实现碳中和?》。白皮书从城市发展的角度切入,详细论述了瑞典在可持续城市发展领域的经验与模式,介绍了中瑞两国在相关领域的合作成果。在白皮书发布同时,中瑞鼎峰集团与山东青岛青铁置业发展有限公司举行了签约仪式,双方将以哈马碧模式开发青岛意向合作项目,即青岛云上观澜项目。
In April 2022, the China-Sweden Hammarby Eco-City Alliance in Beijing officially released a white paper, "Towards carbon neutrality: How can Sweden support China in sustainable urban development to achieve carbon neutrality?". The White Paper discussed in detail Sweden's experience and models in sustainable urban development and introduced achievements in relevant China-Sweden cooperation. At the same time as the release of the White Paper, White Peak and Qingdao Metro Real Estate Limited signed an agreement in bringing the Hammarby model to Qingdao City and jointly develop Nandao project.

On June 30, 2022, with the final announcement of the Qingdao Property Rights Exchange, White Peak and Qingdao Metro Group reached equity cooperation on the Nandao project, officially launching the White Peak – Qingdao Metro version of the Swedish Hammarby Eco City in Qingdao. Located in Shinan District, the project is a rare brand-new residential offering in the city. The first phase of the project covers a site area of over 20,000 square meters, with a total planned GFA of 80,000 square meters and is expected to complete in 2025. In addition to the scarce first-line seascape resources, it is also located near the Tuandao historical and scenic area in Shinan District, with profound cultural heritage and mature amenities.

From inception, the project design was motivated by the strong sustainability vision shared with White Peak's partners. In the well-established Hammarby Model 1.0 already applied at White Peak's Yantai Hammarby Eco City, the new resource management system reduces, reuses and recycles energy, water and waste, thus lowering carbon emissions and achieving harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. At Qingdao Nandao project, decarbonisation and sustainable community concepts have been incorporated, leading to even higher sustainability performance. The project will feature innovative design, striving to reduce building LCA carbon footprint, energy consumption and water consumption, and improve biodiversity and natural animal habitat within the area. The development is expected to achieve sound sustainability performances while having a lower environmental impact. It will also provide its residents with green, comfortable, safe and smart homes.
低碳战略采贯穿了项目的设计和开发环节,集中关注在低碳采购、低碳施工及施工废弃物管理等领域,并通过提升围护结构能效、建筑数字化与家居智能化,使用VRV户式中央空调+新风热回收、铝模板等举措,有效降低项目碳排放。
Low carbon strategy is designed to be implemented throughout the design and development phases, especially in areas including low-carbon procurement, low-carbon construction, and construction waste management. Meanwhile, measures including increasing building envelope effectiveness and building digitisation and home intelligence, and applying aluminium studs, VRV indoor central air conditioners & heat recovery ventilation, etc., will effectively help to reduce carbon emissions.
在可持续社区方面,社区中引进了电动充电设施、恩华特垃圾自动收集系统,并采用生物多样性和海绵城市设计理念。此外,在项目中进行气候韧性评估,包括在拿地阶段确定和评估气候风险,将气候韧性措施融入设计和施工阶段,加强项目的安全性、抵御气候能力和韧性,以预防未来可能发生的极端气候,如高温、风灾和洪涝。
In terms of sustainable community, EV charging infrastructure and Envac system have been utilized, while biodiversity concept and sponge city design have been adopted. In addition, White Peak carried out the climate resilience assessment - by identifying and assessing climate risks during the land acquisition phase, incorporating climate resilience measures into the design and construction phases, and strengthening the safety, resistance and resilience of the project to guard against future climate extremes- heat, wind and flooding.
