Have you ever heard about Active House/主动式建筑 ? Imagine that you can enjoy fresh air and natural light when staying inside the house, office or even a basement without giving negative impact on the climate.
Yes, that is called Active House, also known as Active Building. Active Housescan be new-build or renovation. They can be homes, offices or public buildings. Active House proposes a target framework for how to design and renovate such buildings that contribute positively to human health and well-being by focusing on the indoor and outdoor environment and the use of renewable energy. The Active House principles are Comfort, Energy and Environment, with a key focus on users and the use phase of buildings. The first Active House was introduced to China by VELUX China.
On September 3, SwedCham together with Norwegian Business Association are delighted to invite you to join for a Company Tour to the First Active House in China - VELUX China, located in Langfang, Hebei province.
During the tour, SwedCham visiting group will be welcomed and given a presentation of "Future building for tomorrow Active House 未来的建筑 建筑的未来" by Mr. Zhaojinyan, Executive President of Velux (China) Limited /威卢克斯（中国)有限公司. Followed by the presentation, all participants will be guided to different spaces in VELUX Active building as well as their exclusive and fun VELUX Happy Farm.

Jinyan Zhao
Executive President at Velux China
Mr. Zhao Jinyan is the legal representative and executive president of Velux (China) Limited. He is also the initiator of the ‘ACTIVE HOUSE Academic Committee’ in the organization ‘Architectural Society of China’, and he is the vice chairman of ‘China Near Zero Energy Building Technology Alliance’. Besides having many years of experience in the field of Chinese building energy efficiency, he also actively promotes the development of environmental protection, energy efficiency as well as healthy and comfortable business in China.
Mr. Zhao has worked for Velux China for more than 20 years in many different positions. Among these positions are Exhibition Manager, Customer Service Manager, Area Sales Manager, Technology Manager, Market Development Director and now Executive President. In these positions he has accumulated solid experience within leadership development, business creativity, organizational development in Velux and much more.
Mr. Zhao graduated with an EMBA degree from Henry Management Institute and Administrative Management from Hebei Technology University. Before taking on his first position with Velux, he worked for a Japanese company called LF SDK with responsibility for their factory in China as well as working for Langfang Materials Trading Company in Hebei and Bohai Knitwear.
